League City is on Clear Creek and Magnolia Bayou, It was
started in 1873 and was the birth place of the Texan Longhorn
It became a railroad hub as it is equal distance from Galveston
and Houston. The railroads through the town included the
Galveston, Houston and Henderson, the International-Great
Northern, the Missouri, Kansas and Texas, and the
Galveston-Houston Electric Railroad. It became an agriculture hub,
farmers raised satsuma oranges, cotton, corn, potatoes, sugarcane,
cucumbers, strawberries, and figs.
Now the area is an exploding economic center with the fastest
