League City is on Clear Creek and Magnolia
Bayou, It was started in 1873 and was the birth place of
the Texan Longhorn cattle breed.
It became a railroad hub as it is equal distance
from Galveston and Houston. The railroads through the town
included the Galveston, Houston and Henderson, the
International-Great Northern, the Missouri, Kansas and Texas,
and the Galveston-Houston Electric Railroad. It became an
agriculture hub, farmers raised satsuma oranges, cotton, corn,
potatoes, sugarcane, cucumbers, strawberries, and figs.
